Saint Anne's Shrine is a
peaceful, spiritual, and historical attraction, which has been
developed and maintained for the past 100 years by the
Society of Saint Edmund in Vermont's scenic Champlain Islands.
Each season, thousands of religious pilgrims, vacationers and
tourists visit the popular waterfront site in Isle LaMotte for
devotion and recreation.
The Shrine is situated on thirteen
acres, touching the shores of Lake Champlain, and overlooking the
Adirondack Mountains. Visitors can reflect among the pine trees in
the Way of the Cross. Many rustic grottos, dedicated to the Saints,
dot the grounds providing areas for peace and prayer.
An all
purpose building is open daily to visitors providing space in
inclement weather. Picnic facilities are plentiful for families and
groups of all types. Our café is open Sundays in July and August for
a delicious and bountiful Breakfast Buffet. Meals are available for
organizations and groups by reservation while beverages, snacks and
ice cream are served daily. The Gift Shop is open daily for visitors
wishing to purchase books, religious articles, souvenirs and Vermont
gifts.
The Mission of Saint Anne’s Shrine is to serve as a
welcoming place of peace and hope ministering to all God’s people
through prayer, devotion, hospitality, and spiritual renewal |
